Week 23: November 24th - 30th

How far along? 23 weeks
Baby size: Baby is the size of a grapefruit
Belly radius: 42 1/2 inches around.
Maternity clothes?  I continue to wear maternity. Though, I found that if I don't do laundry on a weekly basis I do run out of clothes to wear!
Stretch marks? No additional ones!
Sleep: My hips have been hurting a lot when I sleep, so still getting many interrupted nights. Also, I am still having to go the bathroom a lot at night!
Best moment this week: Registering at Babies R Us for the baby. I didn't realize how much stuff we need for the baby...no wonder people have baby showers! But it was a lot of fun picking out things for our little boy!
Miss Anything? I miss sleeping a full night through without having to go the bathroom.
Movement: He is still moving, but I noticed when I was stressed this week he moved not as much. So I need to make sure I relax during stressful situations/times.
Food cravings: Salad! All I wanted last week was salad and it was so good when I did have it!
Difficulties or changes: Tired, again. The first time I worked a five day week in a couple of weeks and I was pretty tired by the end.
Belly Button In or Out: It is still in, but pretty stretched.
Symptoms: I do have pressure every once in awhile in my belly, but I think that is little man just stretching out. This week has been pretty good though. Minor swelling of feet and knees, but no biggie.
Wedding Rings on of off? Off.
Happy or moody: I am pretty happy most of the time. Though, while registry for the baby, I heard a Christmas song and almost started crying right in the store. So, emotions are swinging!
Baby project this week: Registering for the baby, choosing the invitations for the baby shower. The baby shower will be January 25th!

Week 22: November 17th - 23rd

How far along? 22 weeks
Baby Weight: A papaya. Weighing more than a pound and about 8 inches long.
Total weight gain/loss: +18
Belly radius: 42 inches around.
Maternity clothes?  I added a few more long sleeves to my wardrobe. Have to be ready for winter!
Stretch marks? Same. Still not on the belly.
Sleep: I keep getting up to go the bathroom. Only about 2-3 times a night.
Best moment this week: When I was able to have family feel the baby kick. It is fun to watch others feel it for the first time!
Miss Anything? No, not this week. I am pretty content.
Movement: The baby keeps moving more and more. The baby's strength seems the same, not kicking too much harder than normal.
Food cravings: I have been smelling (everywhere) and wanting french fries. I have been trying to resist as much as I can, but I did have a to give in the other day!
Difficulties or changes: It is starting to get difficult tying my shoes. I can still do it, but man it is becoming a struggle!
Symptoms: Severe back pain this week. Thanks to the doctor I found out it was because of gas, weird huh! But I took some GasX and started eating much slower and now my upper back pain is something of the past! Yeah!
Wedding Rings on of off? Off.
Happy or moody: Still very happy...I keep laughing harder and harder every day. This baby makes me giggle!
Baby project this week: Umm...nothing for this week. I have so much going on! But I did do some research on child birth classes. Does that count?
Looking Forward to: Seeing my family in a couple weeks for Thanksgiving. Hopefully, the baby will be moving more so they can feel him.

Week 21: November 10th - 16th

How far along? 21 weeks
Baby Weight: A pomegranate. Averaging 10.5 inches long and weighing just over a pound.
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure. I didn't weigh myself, again.
Belly radius: 42 inches around
Maternity clothes? Just bought some more long sleeve pregger shirts. So much more comfy!
Stretch marks? Same ones, no new ones. Yes!
Sleep: I have been waking up a lot in the middle of the night to turn to the other side and use the restroom, so not having many complete full sleeping nights.
Best moment this week: Taylor and I bought our little guy his first bibs. One says, "Handsome just like dad."

Miss Anything? I could really go for a Port of Subs sandwich right now.
Movement:
Everyday he is moving a little more and more. He doesn't just move at night, he is a morning mover, mid-day mover and night mover.

Food cravings: Peanut M&Ms...I had to search for some at work before I could even start my day!
Difficulties or changes: Cleaning the house is not easy. I have had a pretty bad backache since I cleaned on Saturday. I guess I can't do as much as I used to!
Symptoms: Occasional swelling of hands, knees and feet and of course my backache.
Wedding Rings on of off? Completely off, not even trying to get it on again until after the baby.
Happy or moody: Very happy. I find myself laughing ... a lot. I have put myself into tears a lot this week by laughing so hard.
Baby project this week: Start thinking about the registry. What to get? Thankfully, I have family and friends to help me with that.
Looking Forward to: Continuing to see my belly grow. At first it threw me off, but now I am just loving it!

Week 20: November 3rd - 9th

How far along? 20 weeks
Baby Weight: Baby is about 12 ounces right now!
Total weight gain/loss: +15, but according to the doctor I have only gained 12 lbs, so let's go with that!
Belly radius: 41  inches around
Maternity clothes? Still enjoying those! But the best thing this week is finding comfy PJs...not maternity, but large enough for my belly!
Stretch marks? Same ones as before.
Sleep: I am starting to get back pain, which is causing me some issues sleeping. It also doesn't help that the dogs keep trying to lay on me at night. We definitely need to work on training the dogs to stay on the FLOOR!
Best moment this week: Finding out that our little one is a boy! He is going to be name Ethan Otis Allen Pulliam. We chose the name Ethan, just cause I loved that name and Taylor agreed to it. And we have Otis Allen to keep the family name going!

Miss Anything? Bacon, I really want some bacon.
Movement:
He is moving around a little more. I am noticing that he moves a lot more about 10 - 15 minutes after I eat and late at night.

Food cravings: still pizza....all I want is pizza.
Difficulties or changes: I am still very tired. The 'experts' say that I should be less tired during the second trimester, but I am not feeling that. I could still go for an hour plus nap each day.
Gender Prediction: It's a boy! The ultrasound technician was able to find his little part.

Symptoms: I have noticed that my ankles are swelling a lot more during the day, but gone by the next morning. I am also getting some serious back aches. Not so much fun.
Wedding Rings on of off? Off! I technically could wear my ring, but by the end of the day it gets pretty difficult to take off, so I am not going to chance it anymore.
Happy or moody: Happy! Just don't play a sad song around me. If you do, you will see the tears flowing! (It happened in the car the other day!)
Baby project this week: Taylor and I are deciding what the baby room will be like. I think I am going with his pick of decoration, but sshhh...don't tell him yet. I want him to sweat it out for a bit. He! He!
Looking Forward to: Spending some more time with my husband and deciding what we need to do to get ready for this baby boy!

Doctor Appointment: This week I had my ultrasound showing us that it is a baby boy! The ultrasound technician was also able to tell us that the baby was about 5 1/2 inches long and about 12 ounces. She also looked at all his parts and said he is developing really well. The doctor also took a look at the the ultrasound and said everything is progressing nicely. Overall, good check up!
